Sault Ste. Marie, ON, CANADA is a city in northern Ontario, Canada, and is the administrative center of Algoma District. The city is located at the eastern end of Lake Superior, on the north bank of the St. Mary's River, looking south to the city of the same name in Michigan, USA. Marie has a population of 75,141, ranking 73rd in the country; the metropolitan area has a population of 79,800, ranking 47th in the country.
