Port Contry is a Canadian seaport. Located on the Atlantic coast at the eastern end of the Nova Scotia Peninsula, the ship has a maximum draft of 12.2 meters and a water load density of 1025. Southwest wind prevails. The tidal range is 1.4 meters to 1.8 meters. Pilotage is not mandatory. Communications are via Canso Radio and Halifax Radio. The port has three wharf areas: Narrows Wharf, which belongs to the Canadian Transportation Department, with a water depth of 4.3 meters; MERSEY Paper Company Wharf, which can dock 4,700-ton ships; Contry Port Wharf, which is 51.2 meters long and has a water depth of 12.8 meters.
