Bath (bath, me) is a city in Maine, United States, and the county seat of Sagadahok County, located on the west bank of the Kennebec River. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 9,266. This number dropped to 8,514 in 2010. The town was established on February 17, 1781. The city was established on June 14, 1847. The city is named after Bath, Somerset, England.
