Mexico seaport. Located at the northern end of the Yucatan Peninsula in the southeast of the country, it has a maximum draft of 4.72 meters and a water load density of 1025. The tidal range is 0.91 meters, the southeast wind prevails, and pilot communications are forced to pass through VHF channels 16 and 12. Services include: ship repair, bunkering, dinghy, medical, towing, fresh water, provisions, repatriation, dry docking, and sewage disposal. The water depth of the anchorage is 7.31-9.14 meters, with a sandy bottom. Strong north winds often blow from October to January of the following year. The new jetty wharf has a plank road length of 1981.2 meters, a wharf length of 249.93 meters and a width of 49.98 meters. At high tide, the water depth at the front is 5.18 meters; at low tide, the water depth at the front is 4.42 meters. When heavily loaded, the official draft of the ship leaving port is 4.72 meters.
