MEXICO CITY is the capital of the United Mexican States. It is located on the lake plain of Lake Texcoco in the southern part of the Mexican Plateau. It borders the United States to the north, Guatemala and Belize to the southeast, and the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea to the east. It faces the Pacific Ocean to the west and south. It concentrates about 1/2 of the country's industry, commerce, service industry and banking financial institutions, and is the country's political, economic, cultural and transportation center. The climate is cool and pleasant, with the annual average temperature around 18°C. The whole year is divided into rainy season and dry season. The rainy season is from June to early October every year. 75%-80% of the annual precipitation is concentrated in the rainy season.

Mexico City is an important maritime port in Mexico. There are 61 ports in Mexico, including 29 major ports, namely: Acapulco (acapulco), Aguascalientes (aguascalientes) , Altamira, Cancun, Celaya, Ensenada, Guadalajara, Guaymas, Hermosillo (hermosillo), lazaro cardenas.
