Okonger is a city with the administrative center located in the municipality of Okerdal Sud-Trøndelag. This place is in the Okla valley in Norway where it meets the Okdalfjord. Okongel and its neighbor, instead of Fannrem, grow into a cluster of villages. The village Okonger/Fannrem had a population of over 18,011 as of January 2016 and is therefore the second largest city in South Lage, located after Trondheim. The municipality of Okdal decided to give Okongel city status, July 2014.
